The enterprise Organic School Chalk makes organic chalk from natural raw material such as banana and potato peels or groundnut shells. The aim is to completely replace chemical-based school chalk made from the mining of limestones with organic school chalk. Currently, Organic School Chalk buys the raw materials from farms, drying and milling them into powder which is then processed into chalk and sold to schools. Organic School Chalk has created employment opportunities for youths and women as suppliers of raw materials or taking part in their other business activities.
