Kaoma District Women Development Association is involved in the provision of seed, crops and livestock to women engaged in agriculture producer groups. By linking them to markets, finance providers, extension and training, the women farmers engage in value addition and processing of indigenous food and tree planting. Kaoma District Women Development Association promotes organic and climate-smart farming practices as well as water conservation through their capacity building programmes. The enterprise is a spin-off of a grant-financed project that is in the process of becoming financially sustainable through membership affiliation fees and the sales of processed ground nuts, sunflower oil and peanut butter originating from their own processing plant.
