Green Basin Naturals produces natural soaps, essential oils and pressed oils (from Baobab and Mungingo) from selected species of both indigenous and cultivated plants such as lemon grass, cinnamon, eucalyptus, citronella, lavender and tea tree. The enterprise involves local communities in harvesting and value-addition of locally sourced plants through forest commodity producer groups. By commercializing local plant species, GBN improves local incomes and livelihoods and stimulates communities’ appreciation and stewardship of local biodiversity.
