Environmental Industries develops Bionitrate, an organic fertilizer made from human urine. Malawi being an agriculture-based economy, is highly dependent on costly chemical fertilizer imports degrading soils and leading to a declining crop yield. The organic fertilizer offered by Environmental Industries in turn, conserves soil, improves crop production and is 30% cheaper than the imported alternative.
